قال صلى الله عليه وسلم :«إنكم لن تسعوا الناس بأموالكم، فليسعهم منكم بسط الوجه وحسن الخلق».
في هذا الحديث يحث النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أصحابه على التبسم وبسط الوجه وحسن الخلق مع الناس عموماً، فإن له أثرا كبيرا على نفوس الناس، لذلك كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من أشرح الناس صدرا وأعظمهم قدرا، وأعلاهم شرفاً وأبهاهم وجهاً، وأكثرهم تبسما، وما كان يتكلف الضحك، ولا يختلق الابتسامة، بل كان يمتلك نفوس أصحابه بابتسامته المشرقة، وضحكته البريئة، الهادئة اللطيفة، ليكسب قلوبهم ويفوز بودهم، ليقبلوا على هديه، ويرتضوا نهجه، ويجيبوا دعوته.
فلا تغفلوا عن هذا الخلق الكريم الذي أرشدنا إليه النبي عليه أفضل صلاة وأتم تسليم.
